Takeoff Monkey is partnering with Procore! You’re probably familiar with Procore through your General Contractor clients. If you’re not familiar, Procore is a cloud-based construction management software company with project management features, as well as a ton of estimating tools. Over the next few months, we’re integrating Procore’s estimating modules into our systems and will eventually become our primary & default takeoff tool.
What Procore Estimating Tools Mean for Your Projects:
- Editability – If you’re not currently a licensed user of OST, you’ll no longer be reliant on us to make small tweaks, edits, break-out areas, etc. We’re giving our customers fully functioning licenses to Procore!
- Cloud-Based – No more gigantic PDF files! Instead, you’ll receive a link to a live takeoff within Procore which will open in your browser. Don’t worry, it can still be exported to a PDF if you wish.
- Real-Time Updates – Since the tool is cloud-based, your takeoffs are truly living documents. Edits made will be visible live, in real-time.
- Faster, more robust integrations – With Procore’s open API, our ability to integrate with your estimating platforms just got a whole lot better!
Don’t worry…
- We’re not getting rid of Monday, or any of its features!
- If you are a licensed user of OST, Bluebeam, or another tool, we will continue using that tool for you. Even if you are not licensed, if you prefer another platform we will happily accommodate.
- You’ll still be getting the worksheet you’re familiar with, and any integrations built into that worksheet will still be there. We will gradually shift our integrations from Excel to Procore as it makes sense.
- If you still want the static PDF, we can still export it for you.
Where does Google Drive fit in:
We’re shifting to Google Drive to bring you (the customer) more automation, more storage, more flexibility, and tighter security. More about Google Drive
- As of Monday 2/16 you will no longer receive dropbox links, you’ll start to receive Google Drive links.
- You don’t need to do any setup, and don’t even need a Google account.
- This change positions us to work smarter, automate more, and continue raising the bar on efficiency.
Overall these changes will greatly enhance our user experience, but we’re still the same customer-centric company, and we’re still here to accommodate whatever needs arise in your business.
